World’s Best Cruisers?

Your podcast hosts, Ken and Martha
How did we come to being “World’s Best Cruisers”? In 2011 we entered a “Worlds Best Cruiser” (sic) contest sponsored by Budget Travel Magazine. On a lark, we submitted a biography and some pictures. Suddenly we were in the top three candidates for this illustrious honor. After an interview and submission of a short video, the magazines readers were asked to vote for “Worlds Best Cruiser”. After about 2 months of voting, we were pronounced the winners. Do we deserve this honor? We’ve cruised with many who have done more cruising, but this has prompted us to start this free podcast so that you can be the judge. We promise to give you the benefit of our 37 years of cruising in an honest and straight forward manner as we know how.

We love to travel and have learned a lot over the years and would like to share our experiences, travel strategies, research, and tips with you. We’ve sailed on over 70 cruises and visited over 80 countries, many by ship. We joined the podcasting world since 2005, sharing our RV travels from the RV Navigator website. The audience for this podcast has grown over the years to over 6,000 listeners for every episode, so when we won the Budget Travel magazine “World’s Best Cruiser” contest, it motivated us to begin sharing our take on life at sea.

Podcast content will vary depending on whether we are planning, taking, or reminiscing about a cruise. We will discuss what criteria we use to choose the cruises, how we research and organize trips, and interesting destinations. As we read the latest news about new ships and the travel developments, we will talk about those as well. Most of all, we would like to talk about cruise topics that interest you. We welcome your suggestions.
Everything about the Worlds Best Cruiser is free, but it depends on you to keep it viable. We hope you will download, listen and participate in your source for information about enjoying the cruising lifestyle.
